Small plant blooming in a 3" pot. Nice color, but form not great, which is typical of carnea types.

This is a small seedling in a 3" pot blooming for the first time. From Bela Vista Orchids in Brazil. Nice!

Cattleya purpurata sanguinea

I have been growing this for several years, a selfing of 'Valley Isle' from Exotic Orchids of Maui. It's a strange plant. It has nice roots but little vigor, and this is the first time it has "really" flowered. Even though plant is old and of decent size, the flower quality is iffy. But, the color is amazingly dark and I'll give it a little more time.
